Rauma is a city in western Finland, located in the Satakunta region on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia. Rauma is located approximately 90 km north of Turku and 40 km south of Pori. Rauma was founded in 1442 and is the third oldest city in Finland. The city is known for its well-preserved medieval wooden town, Vanha Rauma, which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Rauma is also an important industrial center with a long tradition in shipbuilding and paper production. The city has approximately 40,000 inhabitants and is Finland's 29th largest city in terms of population. Kylmäpihlaja Lighthouse Hotel is a unique lighthouse hotel located on the barren and beautiful island of Kylmäpihlaja, located in the Rauma archipelago in western Finland.
