Kristiansund - the city where the road winds over small islands and bridges with open sea on both sides

Kristiansund is a coastal town in Møre og Romsdal on the west coast of Norway, located amidst the dramatic fjord and island landscape that characterizes the region. The city differs from many other Norwegian coastal towns by its special location on four islands – Kirkelandet, Nordlandet, Gomalandet and Innlandet – which are connected by bridges and ferries. Kristiansund is a natural gateway to the Atlanterhavsveien (Atlantic Road) – one of the world’s most spectacular road trips, where the road winds over small islands and bridges with open sea on both sides. It is also close to fjords, mountains, hiking trails and coastlines that attract outdoor enthusiasts year-round. Nature experiences and the world-famous Atlanterhavsveien are Kristiansund’s main attractions.
