Måløy - a small coastal town located in Kinn municipality at the entrance to the Nordfjord

Måløy is a small coastal town located in Kinn municipality at the entrance to Nordfjorden in Vestland county, on the west coast of Norway. Måløy is located on the island of Vågsøy and has a population of around 3,000. Despite its small size, Måløy is one of Norway’s most important fishing ports and has long been a centre for the fishing and maritime industry. Måløy is surrounded by dramatic and beautiful coastal scenery. Here rocky coastlines, open sea and sandy beaches meet – especially the well-known Refviksanden, a long and chalky white beach that attracts both tourists and locals during the summer months. The surrounding area also offers beautiful mountains, lighthouses and viewpoints that provide panoramic views of the sea. The iconic Måløy Bridge, which connects the island of Vågsøy to the mainland, is a landmark that symbolises the town’s connection to the outside world.
