Despite its remote location, Mehamn has a strong local identity and history. It has been an important place for fishing and shipping for centuries, and fishing is still a central part of life here today. The village has a small population but a strong community, where people live close to nature and the changing seasons.

The landscape around Mehamn is spectacular. Here you can experience the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights dancing across the winter sky.
