Skarsvåg is a small fishing village located in Nordkapp Municipality on the island of Magerøya in Finnmark County, Norway. With its approximately 60 inhabitants, Skarsvåg is considered the world's northernmost fishing village accessible by road, located along the European route E69. Skarsvåg is located on the northern coast of Magerøya, approximately 14 kilometers from the North Cape, Europe's northernmost point. The North Cape - the cliff that rises 307 meters above the Barents Sea and attracts over 200,000 visitors each year. The island of Magerøya is connected to the mainland via a 7 km long underwater tunnel. During the summer, from mid-May to late July, visitors can experience the midnight sun in Skarsvåg, where the sun does not set during the night. During the winter, from September to March, the village is an excellent place to observe the Northern Lights, as the clear skies and distant light pollution create optimal conditions.
