The pier is beautifully nestled among cliffs and small islands, and is a popular stop for both local boat enthusiasts and tourists traveling along the Norwegian south coast. There is a small marina, a restaurant open in the summer, petrol and diesel filling for boats and a shop. The area is characterized by a typical southern Norwegian archipelago idyll with white wooden cottages, piers and quiet bays – perfect for swimming, kayaking and boating.
