Vervet - a new seaside neighborhood in central Tromsø
Vervet is a new modern district emerging by the sea in central Tromsø, on the site where the historic Tromsø Skipsverft once stood. Here, rich industrial history meets the urban lifestyle of the future, making Vervet one of the most exciting urban developments in Northern Norway right now. Vervet is a mixed city that combines housing, business, culture and recreation. The area is being built in stages. In the second quarter of 2025, Scandic Vervet, a 12-story signature hotel with 305 rooms, opened. A new marina with 290 berths has been established at Vervet, making it easier for boat owners to find space in the center of Tromsø.
