The Rüfikopfbahn is located at an altitude of 2,350 meters and is reached via a 10-minute cable car ride. The cable car starts in Lech am Arlberg and offers spectacular views of the Arlberg region.
Lech am Arlberg is an alpine village in the state of Vorarlberg in western Austria. Lech am Arlberg is located at an altitude of about 1,450 meters above sea level on the Lech River, surrounded by high mountains in the Arlberg massif. The village is part of the Arlberg region, which is considered one of the most well-known winter sports destinations in the Alps. Lech is part of Ski Arlberg, the largest continuous ski area in Austria. It includes several villages including Zürs, St. Anton, Stuben, Warth and Schröcken. In total, there are over 300 km of slopes and a modern lift system connecting the villages. During the summer season, Lech offers a large network of hiking trails, cycling trails and nature experiences. Many paths run along the Lech River or up to high mountain areas. Lech is reached via the Arlberg Pass or through the Flexen Pass from Tyrol. The road from Warth is closed in winter. The nearest train station is Langen am Arlberg, about 17 km away. The nearest airports are Innsbruck about 120 km, Zurich about 200 km and Friedrichshafen about 130 km.
