Playa del Cura - Torrevieja's most central and popular city beach
Playa del Cura is one of Torrevieja's most famous and most visited beaches, located right in the city centre along the Costa Blanca in south-eastern Spain. It is around 300 metres long and is lined with a lively promenade (paseo marítimo) with restaurants, ice cream parlours, shops and cafés. What makes Playa del Cura so popular is its accessibility and convenience. As the beach is located in the centre of town, it is easy to get there on foot from hotels, apartments or the bus station. The beach has fine golden sand, calmer waves thanks to protective piers, and the water is shallow. The promenade behind Playa del Cura is a lively stretch, especially in the evenings when locals and visitors gather to enjoy the sunset, eat tapas or take part in the local community life. Despite its central location, the beach is well-maintained and clean, with regular entertainment and services.
