The area is easily accessible by car, bicycle or on foot, and there are several parking options at Hovs Hallar, Krossarevägen (Kattvik) and Norrebrohamn. Hovs Hallar is characterized by its steep cliffs that rise up to 30 meters above sea level, created by reddish primary rock gneiss. These cliffs have been shaped by the forces of the sea and form dramatic landscapes with caves and ravines. The area is rich in plant and animal life. Along the coast there are seals that often lie and rest at Norrebrohamn. There are also many birds here, mostly ducks and gulls. The Skåneleden trail runs through the entire Bjäre Coast Nature Reserve. From Båstad the trail goes via Englandsdals nature reserve and later enters the northeastern part of the Bjäre Coast. The hike offers a steep climb up to the Knösen viewpoint, further through forest and pastures up to Hovs Hallar. From the large parking lot, paths lead down to the rocky beach and the raukar.
