Falsterbo Golf Club - beautifully situated on the cape between Öresund and the Baltic Sea
Falsterbo Golf Club is a golf club in the Flommen nature reserve in Skåne, about 35 km south of Malmö. A classic 18-hole links course, beautifully situated on the headland between the Öresund and the Baltic Sea. The course is located on Sweden's most southwestern cape - Ule Nabbe. Falsterbo Golf Club was founded in 1909 and is thus the third oldest golf club in Sweden. The 18-hole course was inaugurated in 1930 and then the game on the Falsterbo course took on a truly international character. In 1931, the Swedish International Championships were arranged. The club's 75th anniversary in 1984 was celebrated, among other things, with an international match between Sweden and Scotland. The Scottish team included Colin Montgomerie and the Swedish Falsterbo player Fredrik Lindgren, the club's first European Tour player. In 2003, Falsterbo again hosted a major international event in the form of the Swedish PGA Championships within the framework of the European Tour's Challenge Tour.
