Skärså - a nice old fishing village just north of Söderhamn.

Söderhamn is located in the province of Hälsingland, on the coast of the Bothnian Sea. The municipality belongs to Gävleborg County. Neighboring municipalities are Hudiksvall to the north, Gävle to the south and Bollnäs to the west. The Söderhamn archipelago has over 500 islands. On the islands of Rönnskär, Enskär and Storjungfrun you can spend the night in cottages or hostels during the summer. There are also organized boat trips to several of the archipelago's gems. Söderhamn Municipality is responsible for the operation and maintenance of guest harbors, guest piers, cottages, hostels and fairways. Skärså is a nice and well-visited old fishing village just north of Söderhamn. There is a sheltered harbor here and the small red boathouses are still there even though they are not used by many professional fishermen anymore. It is a pleasant walk to walk the semicircle of the bay from the parking lot and around to the smokehouse that is located furthest out to sea.
