Dundret is a mountain area located just southwest of Gällivare, Norrbotten, Sweden. It is located about 5–10 minutes by car from the center of Gällivare and rises 820 meters above sea level. The area is a popular nature reserve and outdoor recreation area that offers a range of activities all year round. During the winter months, Dundret is a popular ski resort with alpine slopes, cross-country ski trails and snowmobile trails. In the summer, it transforms into a destination for hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. From the top of Dundret, you can enjoy a sweeping view of one eleventh of Sweden's area, including views of the Kebnekaise massif. During the period 5 June to 11 July, it is possible to experience the midnight sun from the top. To reach Dundret, you can take the E45 towards Porjus and turn off at the sign for Dundret Toppstugan/Naturreservat. Dundret is also a tourist and ski resort that offers a hotel, a holiday village and caravan camping. The facility is run by Gällivare Municipality and is a central part of the area's tourist offerings.
