MTA Construction and Anläggning - is building the Hästen 7 block in central Laholm
Påhlsson Fastigheter has awarded MTA Bygg och Anläggning the assignment to build 83 rental apartments and approximately 600 m² of premises with a garage in the basement, within the Hästen 7 district in central Laholm. The densification will provide the conditions for the development of the municipality's center with housing and premises for commercial activities, while at the same time creating parking opportunities for the neighborhood's tenants. The location for the new construction, with Påhlsson Fastigheter as the developer, is in the middle of Laholm town. Towards Stortorget, some of the older construction has been demolished to make way for the development. The new production will also take place behind the square's existing buildings, between the square and Trädgårdsgatan.
The new buildings in Laholm will have varying scales through different heights and widths. Facades and roofs will be constructed with varying colors and materials. What is newly built will blend in and the materials will be equivalent to what can be found throughout the city center of Laholm.
The homes and premises will be housed in five interconnected buildings with underground garages. One of the buildings will have a community room for the elderly. The buildings will be built in four to six floors with basements. In addition to apartments, the first floor will house an environmental room for waste sorting and premises, one of which is already intended to become a street food stall. The Hästen 7 block is located in the city center, in an area bordered by Stortorget and Östertullsgatan to the west, Järnvägsgatan to the north, Trädgårdsgatan to the east and the Hästen 5 property to the south.
