Orsa municipality is building Slipstenen, east of Murargränd
Orsa Municipality is building a new special housing complex at Storgärdet, located east of Murargränd. The housing complex will be called Slipstenen and will contain 90 apartments for permanent housing and 18 apartments for short-term housing. Slipstenen is located close to the city center with good accessibility for both pedestrians and vehicles, and there is the possibility of creating a good outdoor environment. The new housing complex will replace the older units Lillåhem and Orsagården. Orsa Lokaler AB (OLAB) is responsible for the construction, while the municipality will be the owner and OLAB will handle the operation.
The grinding stone is expected to be ready for occupancy in 2027.
