Oskarshamn Port is a cargo and passenger port located in Oskarshamn Municipality in southeastern Sweden. The cargo handling is comprehensive and includes petroleum products and container traffic. However, the dominant cargo is sawn timber. There is a ferry connection to Visby on Gotland with approximately 400,000 passengers annually. In the summer there are also ferry connections to Öland and the Blå Jungfrun National Park.

Shipping was one of the most important reasons why the fishing village and market town of Döderhultvik developed into the city of Oskarshamn. During the latter part of the 19th century, Oskarshamn was one of the most important shipping cities in Sweden. During the 1930s, interest arose among some Oskarshamn residents in collecting and preserving objects that recalled this era in the city's history. This is the background to the founding of the Oskarshamns Sjöfartsförening.
