In collaboration with the Port and Fishermen's Association Rörö
Midway between Vinga and Marstrand, the northernmost of the Öckeröarna islands in the Gothenburg archipelago, lies Rörö. The island has 260 permanent residents and is home to one of Gothenburg's most visited guest harbours. The harbour has an Ica store with a café section. Café RöröBoa is located by the pier. The park has 4 boules courts and a beach volleyball court. The harbour also has a service facility for recreational boats. The sea rescue station is in the harbour and the large fishing boats have their home harbour on Rörö, where fishing has characterised the island since the 16th century. On the east side at Gule skären there is a municipal bathing area. The island's beautiful nature reserve attracts visitors for nice walks and fantastic nature experiences that many people take advantage of.
