Älta city center neighborhood - new housing, premises, preschool and retirement home
Älta Centrumkvarter is being developed together with Wallenstam with new buildings and public spaces. Here, plans are being made for a new square with retail space, approximately 950 new homes, premises for libraries, culture and leisure, a preschool and a retirement home. Nacka Municipality is also renovating the park with play and activities for all ages. The scope of the project for Nacka Municipality is to carry out excavation work for filling and pipe work with a new infrastructure network of pipes that will supply the new center and all other buildings. After pipe laying, filling and rough planning, they will expand and construct the new public spaces such as squares, parks and local streets to create the new Älta center.
The inauguration of the new center with retail premises is planned for 2027. Final project completion is planned for 2031.
