Sigtuna
Sigtuna is one of Sweden's oldest preserved towns and is located in Sigtuna municipality on Lake Mälaren in Stockholm County. Sigtuna was founded by Erik Segersäll around the year 970-980. Sigtuna municipality also includes Märsta, Valsta, Rosersberg and Arlanda Airport. Every year, many millions of people pass through Sigtuna municipality via Sweden's largest airport, Arlanda. Approximately 1,500 meters north of the old Sigtuna city center, Bonava is building a new district "Sigtuna stadsängar" in collaboration with Sigtuna hem. In the first stage, 600 homes will be built. When the district is completed, there will be all types of tenancy and housing, as well as restaurants, shops, schools, recreational facilities and preschools. In total, Sigtuna stadsängar covers an area of 330,000 square meters (33 hectares) and all in all, about 900 homes are planned here.
