View from Katarinahissen, Slussen - view towards Stadsgården, Djurgården and Stockholm's harbor entrance.
Atrium Ljungberg owns and develops Katarinahuset in the heart of Stockholm’s new business district, with fantastic views for both businesses and staff. Slussen is an important traffic and urban development area in Stockholm, serving as a link between the Old Town, Södermalm and the other parts of the city. Slussen has undergone several major changes since the first lock system was built there in the 17th century. The original facility was intended to regulate the water levels between Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. The redevelopment of Slussen includes new buildings, improved water regulation and a better connection between the different city districts. Slussen will continue to be an important hub for public transport. The new design is also planned to give the area a more open and accessible appearance, with squares and promenades.
