Ullared is located in Falkenberg municipality in Halland County. Ullared is located approximately 30 km northeast of Falkenberg on county road 154 and the same distance east of Varberg on county road 153. Both county roads intersect in the middle of Ullared's center. The Högvadsån River and its tributary, the Hjärtaredsån from Lake Hjärtaredsjön, flow through the community. The settlement is dominated in the northern part of the community, Furet, by residential buildings. In the central parts, trade and services dominate. South of the center there is again some residential buildings, as in the west. In the south there is also a small industrial area, Hedens industrial area. Gekås is Ullared's largest employer.
