Fyrudden is located in the Gryt archipelago, about 20 km east of Valdemarsvik in Östergötland County. Fyrudden is a popular destination for both boaters and land travelers, and serves as a central hub for archipelago traffic in the area. Fyrudden is reached via county road 212, which runs from Valdemarsvik through Gryt and ends at Fyrudden. Daily boat lines depart from Fyrudden to islands such as Harstena and Häradskär.
