In 2008, a biogas plant was built on Odensviholm to process manure and make the farm self-sufficient in electricity. All manure is transported through a culvert in a closed system to the digester, via a collection station and a pumping station. A safety system ensures that the system is not affected even if there is a stoppage somewhere along the way. In the digester (which is covered by a large plastic bubble), the gas from the manure is collected and fed to a generator that has been converted for gas operation - and then converted into electricity.
