Vilhelmina municipality in northern Sweden, in Västerbotten County and the province of Lapland
Vilhelmina is a town in northern Sweden, in Västerbotten County and the province of Lapland. Vilhelmina is located by Lake Volgsjön in the Ångermanälven, with the smaller Baksjön to the east of the town, near its outlet into the Ångermanälven. Vilhelmina has its own airport, South Lapland Airport, which is located in Sagadal, about 12 km southeast of Vilhelmina. In Vilhelmina you can explore mountain valleys with villages such as Saxnäs, Klimpfjäll and Kittelfjäll, or follow well-known roads such as Vildmarksvägen and Sagavägen. Hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing and hunting are just some of the adventures on offer. Vilhelmina has fantastic nature both summer and winter.
