Bad Wildungen - known for its healing springs since the 14th century and is today one of Germany's largest rehabilitation and spa resorts
Bad Wildungen is a picturesque health resort located in northern Hesse, Germany, at the foot of the Kellerwald. The town has been known for its healing springs since the 14th century and is today one of Germany's largest rehabilitation and spa resorts. The Marktplatz in Bad Wildungen forms the historic center of the town and has been a gathering point since the Middle Ages. The square is surrounded by beautiful half-timbered buildings and the stately Stadtkyrkan, a Gothic hall church from the 14th century. Also located on the square is the classicist Rathaus (town hall), which was originally built in the 15th century and renovated in the 19th century. One of the square's most prominent features is the historic Markbrunnen, a ground well that previously supplied the town with water from 1378. The well is particularly beautiful during Easter, when it is adorned with flowers and decorations.
