Hollywood - a coastal city between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, in Florida
Hollywood, Florida is a coastal city located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, in Broward County on the southeastern coast of Florida. The city was founded in 1925 and today has over 150,000 residents. Hollywood is known for its relaxed atmosphere, its wide sandy beaches and, above all, the famous Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Hollywood offers a wide range of hotels, beach cafes, art galleries, parks and marinas, as well as a charming downtown with cultural centers, squares and restaurants. Hollywood also has a strong focus on green spaces, with over 60 parks and several nature reserves, including the Anne Kolb Nature Center, where mangrove forests and wildlife can be explored.
Hollywood Beach - one of Florida's most popular coastal destinations, known for its laid-back atmosphere, family-friendly vibe and beach life. The beach itself is wide, with fine, golden sand and shallow water, making it ideal for swimming, walking and beach activities. The crystal-clear waters invite swimming, paddle boarding, jet skiing and snorkeling, while the palm trees along the shoreline provide pleasant shade.
Hollywood Beach Broadwalk - a nearly 2.5-mile (4 km) long, car-free boardwalk that runs the entire length of the beach. It is made of brick and concrete, and here pedestrians, cyclists, joggers and inline skaters mingle at a leisurely pace, with views of the ocean. Along the Broadwalk is a string of beach restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, souvenir shops and hotels, many in low-rise buildings with a retro style reminiscent of Florida's 1950s. In the evenings, the area fills with music, market stalls and beach activities, especially around the central stage at the Hollywood Beach Theater, where free concerts are often offered at sunset.
