Oregon [OR] - USA
Oregon is located in the northwestern United States and borders California, Nevada, Idaho and Washington to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Oregon has a population of around 4.3 million, with Salem as its capital and Portland as its largest city. Oregon is known for its diverse natural landscape – from long coastlines and deep forests to mountain ranges, volcanoes and deserts. Among its attractions are Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States, which is located in a volcanic crater. Oregon has a mild and humid climate on the coast, but drier inland. The economy is based on forestry, agriculture, the technology industry and tourism, with a large presence of companies such as Nike (which has its headquarters in Oregon). Oregon is also known for its environmental awareness, outdoor life and progressive politics.
