Belgium

Belgium is a country in Western Europe. Belgium borders the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France and has a coastline on the North Sea. Belgium has an area of approximately 30,500 square kilometers and a population of approximately 11.5 million. The capital is Brussels. Belgium is a federal state with three regions: Flanders, Wallonia and the Brussels Region. The three official languages are Dutch, French and German. The linguistic and administrative division affects politics, education and public administration. The country is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system of government.
