The main square in Visby is one of Gotland's most central and historically significant squares. The main square is located in the middle of Visby and offers a sense of a medieval atmosphere. Visby is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has many medieval buildings that still stand, making the city feel like a living museum. The medieval city wall, which surrounds the old city center, is particularly impressive and stretches for three kilometers. The wall is equipped with 44 towers and several gates, some of which are still in use.
