Falsterbo

Falsterbo is part of the urban area of Skanör-Falsterbo on Falsterbonäset in Vellinge municipality in Skåne county. Falsterbo is located approximately 35 km south of Malmö. Every year in July, the Falsterbo Horse Show is organized - horse competitions with international status. The competitions usually attract over 60,000 spectators per year. Next to Skanör-Falsterbo is Skanörs ljung, which is a nature reserve and Natura 2000 area within the historic Skanör with Falsterbo city area in Vellinge municipality in Skåne. Skanörs ljung is one of Europe's largest wet heaths and a remnant of the heathland that covered half of the Falsterbo peninsula 150 years ago.
