Vemdalen - Sweden

Vemdalen is a mountain resort in Härjedalen, Jämtland County, in central Sweden. The resort is best known as a popular destination for winter sports, especially skiing. There are several ski resorts here, including Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike and Klövsjö/Storhogna, which together offer a large number of slopes and modern lift systems. Vemdalen is also a great destination during the summer, with hiking trails, fishing, cycling and nature experiences in a mountain environment. The nature is magnificent with forests, mountains, lakes and waterfalls, for example the Sånfjället National Park nearby. The resort has hotels, holiday villages, restaurants and services for tourists, and is part of the larger tourist area Destination Vemdalen. It is easy to get here both by car and train/bus, especially during the winter season.
