Nevada [NV] - USA
Nevada is a state in the western United States, known for its vast desert landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and unique blend of nature and entertainment. Nevada borders California to the west, Oregon and Idaho to the north, Utah to the east, and Arizona to the southeast. With its dry climate and large desert areas, Nevada is one of the most sparsely populated states in the United States. Nevada's largest city is Las Vegas, a globally renowned center for entertainment, casino operations, and entertainment. Las Vegas attracts millions of tourists each year with its iconic hotels, colorful lights, and spectacular shows. The capital, Carson City, is located further north, near the scenic Lake Tahoe, which is a popular destination for outdoor recreation, skiing, and vacationing. In addition to the gambling industry, which was legalized in 1931, tourism, mining, and the defense industry are important parts of Nevada's economy. Nevada also contains large areas of federal land, making it one of the states with the largest percentage of land in public ownership. Nevada is also home to unique natural areas, such as Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire State Park and parts of Great Basin National Park, as well as infamous places like Area 51. Despite its reputation as an entertainment mecca, the state also has a rich natural landscape to discover, from desert landscapes to alpine terrain.
